Sexuality: Bi-sexual Marital Status: Single   Brief Character History: Born in Lille, France and raised in London, England, Rabastan grew up as the children of many rich pure bloods did; Spoiled and arrogant. His parents favored both he and his older brother Rodolphus equally, and so with them there was no sibling rivalry, only a mutual admiration for each other and the desire to see the other succeed. Though the Lestranges were not a cruel family outwardly, their penchant for the Dark Arts and everything therein ran deep, and was passed onto their boys. Rabastan especially took a great liking to the unforgivable curses, and (secretly) had them mastered by age ten (No wands allowed at that age? A hand me down wand and Daddy Lestrange having deep pockets and connections within the ministry helped take watchful eyes off of their household.) Practicing on useless house elves is a good way to polish up any sort of spell craft. He was sorted into Slytherin at Hogwarts, and was an excellent student. Teachers and students alike were dazzled by his indelible charm, which kept him out of trouble (as always) and helped him make a number of friends, most of whom he kept throughout his life. His favorite subjects were Charms, Defense Against the Dark Arts and Muggle Studies (the latter of which he kept a secret). Much like Arthur Weasley, he loved all things muggle, except for the muggles themselves. He had very little tolerance where they were concerned. He liked to play with them as though they were his toys and often imperiused them and had them do humiliating things for his own entertainment. After leaving Hogwarts, Rabastan never worked, he enjoyed the 'playboy' lifestyle, leaving anything important up to his father and brother. Money was never something he had to worry about, and he preferred sleeping off last nights adventure to getting up early to do an honest days work. Rodolphus was his hero. In his eyes, his older brother could do no wrong and every example he set for him was a shining one. Anything that Rodolphus did, Rabastan was right behind him either cheering him on or joining him, so it came as no surprise when Rodolphus became a death eater that Rabastan followed suit. He didn't truly know what he was getting himself into when he joined, but Rabastan was never one to do anything half heartedly. He made a commitment, he took a mark, and he was going to honour it regardless of the consequences. And like everything else in his life, he was determined to do it well. His profile as a death eater was somewhat low, but really, he was just as ruthless as his sister in law, Bellatrix. When the dark lord fell, he and three other death eaters looked for their master, torturing Alice and Frank Longbottom into madness in the process. The four faithful followers were imprisoned in Azkaban for their efforts, to be released some fifteen years later when Voldemort rose again. After he was released from Azkaban during the second war, Rabastan went back to doing what he loved so dearly. Raids, imperiusing innocent muggles for fun, working to get his good looks back in check and "annoying" house elves.  Extras: Appearance: Rabastan has always been rather easy on the eyes. Standing at an even 6' tall he is of an average build, though slightly broader in the shoulders than most. He likes to keep his wavy dark brown hair relatively short, though at times he lets it grow a bit long. His deep green eyes have at times been described as cold and aloof, yet eerily mesmerizing. Personality: He has a tendency to be a bit pompous, but that is countered by his great empathy and irresistable charm. He is also a bit of a flirt, and extremely playful. Don't let his smile fool you though, Rabastan is as cruel as he is kind, just give him a reason. Likes: sports, wine, collecting weaponry, dark arts, dueling, boxing, power, drinking, long hot showers Dislikes: muggles, harsh loud noises, large open bodies of water (though shallow bodies where he can see the bottom are fine)  I do not own Rabastan Lestrange, any part of the Harry Potter Universe, nor do I own Raoul Bova (really sad about that one).
